Filming day 2

On the 21st February 2012, i was on my second day of filming. I filmed at 58 Ashburnham Road. As i learnt from the previous day to make sure the record button was on on the tape, the filming went a lot smoother and easier. The costumes and make up went really good again and actors that were needed all turned up in time and come to the correct locations. The only trouble i had was filming out side. This was because the actor who was the killer, was really cold wearing just a long white top and wanted to go in. however, she did manage to stay out side an finish that part of the filming. Also, it looked like it was going to rain so i had to be quick and get the filming done.

Filming

On the 20th February 2012 it was my first day of filming. I filmed at 49 Linley drive. All the actors turned up on time and at the correct location. The costumes and make up went better then i thought as the actors were really getting involved and giving ideas to make it better.
However, when i set up the tripod and camera it would not record. As i did not want to waste any time i recorded on my mobile phone and took pictures for my horror film poster and website. When i returned the camera back to college, i explained to my teacher what had happened. She therefore looked at the tape and noticed that the slide button for record has not been moved. Even tough i did not manage to record on the camera, i got footage on my mobile phone. This has been a good experience as i have learnt that the record button on the tape needs to be closed. This will enable me to carry out my next lot of filming with out any troubles with the camera.

Sound effects

In order for me to get a sound track for my horror film trailer i looked up free sond effects. I found sone really good sound effects that i liked. I found these at,

http://www.freesound.org/search/?q      On this website, the sound effects that i liked were, heart beat, grenade, heart beat enhanced, ambience.
These sound effects follow the codes and conventions of horror as they are screamy sounds. These sounds would also go good in my horror film trailer as i want the audience to feel scared and build up the tension.

http://www.partnersinrhyme.com/soundfx/scary_halloween_sounds/walkandgrunt_wav.shtml This is the other free sound effect website that i found. There were  few good ones that liked as they had the screamy affect that i was looking for. The sound effects are, walk and grunt, psycho with scream effect, scream effect 1.

When i edit my film trailer together i will use different sound effects to see which ones fit better.

Risk Assessment Forms

This is the first risk assessment form for one of my locations i will be filming at. This risk assessment form applies to 58 Ashburnham Road.

This is the second risk assessment form for the other location i am filming at. this location is 49 Linley Drive.

Call Sheet

By creating a call sheet it will enable my actors to know what time and what location to go to. I have made my call sheet in a professional format.

Project Proposal Form

Location and Reece

For my production I will be using two main locations for filming and these locations are
Ashburnham Road
(my house) and
Linley Drive
.

The map below shows where both locations are where I will be filming.

The red A is where Ashburnham Road is and just up from Ore train station is Linley Drive. These are the two locations in my film trailer. There is a train station near both my locations and also main roads which makes it easier for the actors to get to these locations.

Editing Production Schedule

By making an editing production schedule it has enabled me to stay focused and organised with the editing. I will be keeping to date deadlines to make sure that i am on top of the editing and also so that i do not fall behind.

I am a couple days behind on my editing due to there being problems with the Mac laptop. I had trouble logging in to it and therefore, it made me fall a few days behind schedule. However, i did not waste any time as i was searching for free sound track down laods that would best suit my horror film trailer. This problem has now been solved and i am now editing.

Production Schedule

By making a production schedule it will enable me to be organised when filming for my film trailer. This will also help me to be good with timing as i will be keeping to a time and date deadline to ensure i get my filming done and also, so that i do not rush.
